ESGO Travelling Fellowship 2025 is now open. As our National Ambassador in Serbia, you might know of promising young fellows who would benefit from this opportunity.
This program is designed for early-career professionals seeking advanced training and research opportunities at an ESGO-accredited training centre. It is designed to support collaboration and knowledge sharing across European countries.
There is no age limit for applicants. However, the fellowship has specific eligibility criteria, which include:
- Having an invitation from a host institution that holds a current ESGO accreditation in training.
- Holding active ESGO membership at the time of application.
- Having held a junior position at your home institution for 5 years or less.
- Committing to return to your home country after completion of the fellowship.
- Submitting the application online via the ESGO membership system.
- Being able to speak and understand the language of the host institution or English.
- Applicants may apply multiple times but can only be awarded the fellowship once.

- Travelling Fellowship Period: May – December 2025
About the Fellowship
The ESGO Travelling Fellowship provides:
- Financial support of EUR 1,500 (1 month) or EUR 2,000 (2 months) paid in two instalments.
- A unique opportunity to work in an ESGO-accredited training centre, gaining hands-on experience and expanding your professional network.
- Priority for applicants from non-accredited centres to strengthen their skills and their institution’s development.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Applicants must be ESGO members (no restrictions on the length of membership).
- Must hold a junior position for no longer than five years as a certified gynaecological oncologist.
- Must commit to returning to their home country after the fellowship.
- Applications must be submitted online via the ESGO webpage at least two months in advance of the desired start date.
- Fellowships can only be awarded once per applicant.
Required Documents for Application:
- A comprehensive CV.
- A detailed description of the purpose of the visit, objectives of the fellowship, and the reasons for selecting the host institution.
- Letters of support from the applicant’s home institution and host centre.
Selection Criteria:
Applications are evaluated based on:
- Training opportunities in the applicant’s home country.
- Quality and relevance of the fellowship’s objectives.
- Letters of recommendation.
- Applicant’s CV and potential impact on their institution.
